KARACHI: Ali & Associates was honored to participate in the Inventor Assistance Program (IAP) Inventor–Volunteer Networking & Promotional Event, organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan).
Kimistin Justin, Principal Patent Attorney at Ali & Associates, was invited as a guest speaker at the event, where he addressed critical legal aspects of the patent process. He engaged directly with Pakistani inventors, offering practical guidance and answering legal queries related to intellectual property protection, patent strategy, and commercialization pathways.
During an inventor pitching session, Kimistin Justin was also invited to serve as a jury member evaluating innovative ideas and providing valuable legal insights. The Patent Team of Ali & Associates also attended the event, reinforcing the firm’s steadfast commitment to supporting innovation and knowledge-sharing within Pakistan’s growing intellectual property ecosystem.
Zubia Hassan, Senior Examiner of Patents and Designs, Patent Office, Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan and Allison Mages, Head IP Commercialization Section, World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO also attended the event.
The event served as a platform to promote the IAP and foster meaningful connections between inventors and volunteer patent professionals. As Pakistan continues to demonstrate strong potential in innovation and IP activity, the IAP represents a vital step forward in ensuring that local inventors have equitable access to expert legal assistance. Through this program, volunteers help under-resourced innovators navigate the patent system at no cost, enabling them to protect their innovations both locally and internationally.
Ali & Associates commends WIPO and IPO-Pakistan for their role in launching this impactful initiative and looks forward to supporting the IAP’s expansion.
