KARACHI: Ali & Associates is proud to support the Karachi Biennale 2024 (KB24) as Bronze Partner, reinforcing our dedication to promoting public art and cultural dialogue. Our Partners, Senior Associates, and Associates attended various KB24 events across Karachi, actively participating in the celebration of contemporary art.
The Fourth Karachi Biennale was inaugurated, at the historic Bandstand in Bagh Ibne Qasim, with Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Mayor of Karachi, as the Chief Guest. The event highlighted the architectural significance of the venue, dating back to 1920. This year’s theme, “Rizq/Risk,” brought together 40 artists from 10 countries, addressing pressing issues such as the climate crisis and its impact on food security, through installations, performances, and visual works.
KB24 featured a wide range of public programs, including artist talks, guided tours, and interactive workshops across Karachi, fostering community engagement and dialogue through art. The exhibition focused on Pakistan’s climate challenge, particularly the effects of flooding and extreme heat on food security.
As the flagship initiative of the Karachi Biennale Trust, KB24 provided a vital platform for public art, stimulating conversations on Karachi’s urban landscape and cultural identity.
