Mr. Abid who has long been associated with the firm's Lahore office will be joining the Karachi team and provide assistance in Litigation matters.
Mr. Muhammad Shakil Abid has rich experience in the field of Law and as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan has represented clients in prominent cases before the District, High and Supreme Courts of Pakistan.
Mr. Abid participated in course on Enforcing and Evaluating Intellectual Property Rights in Europe. Delivered several lectures on IP Laws in Pakistan and around the globe.
He was a Chairman of IP Law Committee - Lahore District Bar Association and Chairman IP Law Committee - Lahore High Court Bar Association.
Mr. Abid has attended numerous workshops, seminars and training programs on Intellectual Property Rights organized by UNDP, ILU, IFPI, MPA and IPO Pakistan.
He hold a distinction of appearing in all the High Courts (Lahore, Sindh, Baluchistan and Peshawar) and Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Mr. Haq's experience spans 56 years and 3 major cities - Karachi, Lahore and Chittagong in the field of Law.
Mr Haq has been a pioneering officer of the Trade Marks Registry, Pakistan having joined the Chittagong branch of the Registry in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in 1960.
In 1972, he was tasked with establishing the Lahore branch of the Registry and was given charge to lead the office.
Mr. Haq played an instrumental role in the development of IP laws in Pakistan and was a principal drafter of the Trade Marks Rules, 2004, which were introduced following Pakistan's ascension to the TRIPS Agreement.
Upon his retirement, Mr. Haq spent nine years working with Remfry and Son before helping establish Abu-Ghazaleh's office in Pakistan, which he led for a decade.

Mr. Peshiman is a law graduate from University of London International Programme (UK).
He is a qualified litigator and legal advisor having successfully concluded numerous trials and currently representing clients in complex Commercial, Intellectual Property, Civil and Criminal matters before the Higher Courts of Pakistan.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked for Mandviwalla & Zafar. He also has gained experience in Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions.
Barrister Munim Masood
Advocate High Court
Mr. Masood obtained his Law degree from University of Liverpool (UK) and is a Barrister from the Honorable Society of Lincoln's Inn (UK).
Mr. Masood's practice focuses primarily on complex litigation and dispute resolution. He previously worked for notable firms like 8 Stone Buildings (UK), Mandviwalla & Zafar and other prestigious firms before joining Ali & Associates.
Ms. Talpur holds a law degree from the University of Law (UK) besides and previously obtained a Bachelor's Degree (Honors) in History, Arts History and English from the University of Toronto.
Before joining Ali & Associates, Ms. Talpur worked for Allen & Overy LLP (UK). Currently, she works on corporate matters, dispute resolution and trade mark litigation. Ms. Talpur can converse in English, French and Urdu.
Mr. Kidwai obtained his Law degree from the University of Kent (UK) and has his specialization in Corporate, Intellectual Property, Civil Litigation and various other corporate/company law matters. He is enrolled in the High Court, Sindh Bar Council and Karachi Bar Association.
Before joining he worked for notable firms like Mushtaq Memon & Associates, Hafeez Pirzada Law Associates and Mohsin Tayabaly & Co.
Ms. Qayyum holds a Law degree from University of London and is an associate at Ali & Associates where she assists Partners on domestic and international matters pertaining to Trademark and Copyright Infringement.
Prior to joining Ali & Associates, she was working as an Associate at Tahera Hasan & Co. and at RiaaLaw.
